Golden Knights Fall 3-1 in Eichel’s Return to Buffalo

Jack Eichel’s much anticipated return to Buffalo didn’t go as planned, as he and the Vegas Golden Knights fell by a 3-1 final.

Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel is continuing to progress from his neck surgery and is expected to soon be cleared for contact.

Vegas Golden Knights head coach Peter DeBoer told reporters on Tuesday that Jack Eichel isn’t as close to a return as some think.

The Vegas Golden Knights have acquired center Jack Eichel from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Peyton Krebs, Alex Tuch, and draft picks.

Following injuries to Mark Stone, Max Pacioretty, and others, the Vegas Golden Knights will turn to their youth and depth for contributions.
