Las Vegas has seemed to get increasingly more injured recently and it hasn’t slowed down this week. Thursday, TE Darren Waller was ruled out of his third consecutive game with knee and back injuries. Waller has not seen the field since being injured in the Raiders’ Thanksgiving matchup against the Cowboys.
LB Denzel Perryman will also miss his second straight game with an ankle injury. CB Trayvon Mullen Jr. will also miss the Raiders’ Week 15 matchup against the Browns after returning from injured reserve last week. Mullen is recovering from a toe injury, seemingly the same injury that landed him on IR in October.
DE Carl Nassib is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game after missing the previous two games with a knee injury. LB Patrick Onwuasor (hamstring) and TE Foster Moreau (abdomen) were limited all week in practice but will be hitting the field on Sunday.
“Carl Nassib was a little bit limited today,” interim head coach Rich Bisaccia said Thursday. “He’s still a little bit questionable. We’ll see how the next few days go.”
The Browns, meanwhile, are facing an enormous challenge ahead of Saturday’s matchup. Roughly 20 players and personnel could be set to miss the game against the Raiders due to COVID-19 protocols, including QB Baker Mayfield and head coach Kevin Stefanski. Yesterday, veteran backup QB Case Keenum tested positive for the virus, which means third-string QB Nick Mullens may be in line for his first start of the 2021 season.
