Las Vegas Raiders running back Theo Riddick, who was listed on the Covid-19 Reserve List earlier this week, has been moved to the retired list by the team on Friday.
Riddick, who has been in the league for 9 years, only played 48 snaps in 2020. He had six carries for 14 yards with five catches for 43 yards. He was expected to compete for a roster spot with Jalen Richard and rookie running backs Trey Ragas and Garrett Groshek.
Instead, the former sixth-round pick has decided to call it a career. He finishes his career with 294 carries for 1,037 yards and five rushing touchdowns and 290 receptions for 2,281 yards, and 14 scores through the air.
The Raiders still have a ton of options at running back behind Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake. Besides Jalen Richard, Trey Ragas, and Garrett Groshek, the Raiders also brought in Darius Jackson and B.J. Emmons. The five running backs will likely be competing for the final roster spot.
