Following the resignation of former Raiders head coach Jon Gruden, Raiders assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia has been named interim head coach by the team.

Bisaccia has been with the Raiders since 2018 when he was hired by Gruden to be assistant head coach and special teams coordinator. Previously, Bisaccia spent time with the Dallas Cowboys, San Diego Chargers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Bisaccia served as the Buccaneers special teams coordinator during Gruden’s tenure in Tampa Bay and rejoined Gruden in Las Vegas.

The Raiders posted the following tweet to make the move official:

Bisaccia will take over a Raiders team that has lost back-to-back games following a 3-0 start. The Raiders travel to Denver this week to take on the 3-2 Broncos in an AFC West matchup that will be Rich Bisaccia’s first as interim head coach.
