According to a press release Monday night, fans will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to attend games at Allegiant Stadium for the 2021 season.
“Health and safety has always been our number one priority,” Raiders owner Mark Davis said. “After consultation with Governor Sisolak and other community leaders, this policy ensures that we will be able to operate at full capacity without masks for fully vaccinated fans for the entire season,”
The release went on to say that fans will be able to receive vaccinations at Allegiant Stadium prior to entry. Newly vaccinated fans can then enter the stadium with a mask.
The Raiders are the first NFL team to implement such a policy.
The inaugural season of the Las Vegas Raiders was played without fans. Vegas figures to be a popular travel destination for fans in 2021. Allegiant Stadium will open its doors to full capacity NFL crowds for the first time.
Further information will be given during a press conference on August 17th. Season ticket holders will receive instructions via email.
