The Raiders linebackers have taken a huge hit with all the injuries. On Wednesday, the Raiders have taken one step closer to solving those issues by trading for Panthers linebacker Denzel Perryman.
The Panthers will send Perryman and their 2022 seventh-round pick to Las Vegas, for the Raiders’ 2022 sixth-rounder.
Perryman will cost the Raiders $990K in 2021. The Raiders do have the option to move on from the linebacker with no dead cap, after this season. Keeping him next year will cost the team $3M.
Raiders defensive coordinator Gus Bradley has worked with Perryman. The linebacker was a productive player in his first six years with the Chargers, making him a known commodity for his new team.
Last year, Perryman was PFF’s No. 2 LB of the 99 who played at least 20% of snaps.
