Things could not look worse for the Raiders veteran running back, Jalen Richard. He started his 2021 season on the Covid-19 reserve list and is now reportedly ‘out indefinitely’ with a serious foot injury.

Richard had just returned to practice on Tuesday and he was fighting for the third and final spot on the Raiders depth chart.

Richard has spent his entire career with the Raiders, totaling 2,811 yards and 7 touchdowns in five seasons. Although he didn’t play a ton last season, he did have a role on third downs as a pass blocker. In 2020, the five-year veteran had his worst season, only touching the ball 41 total times on offense.

The Raiders third-string running back will likely be a battle between Trey Ragas, Garrett Groshek, BJ Emmons, and Darius Jackson.
