CBs Damon Arnette (groin) and Trayvon Mullen Jr. (toe) are both officially ruled out for the Raiders’ Week 5 home matchup against the Chicago Bears.

Both Mullen and Arnette suffered injuries in the Raiders Week 4 loss against the Chargers. CBs Nate Hobbs and Amik Robertson will join Casey Hayward Jr. in the secondary as the team’s primary corners.

“We talked about [Robertson] a lot in the preseason as you know,” head coach Jon Gruden said during Friday’s press conference. “He’s had a good preseason. His second year is much better. He’s just more comfortable, down after down consistency is better, he’s tackling, so we’re anxious to see him continue his development.”

TE Derek Carrier has also been ruled out. RB Peyton Barber is listed as questionable.

Bears QB Justin Fields, the 11th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, is making his third career start in Las Vegas on Sunday. It will be Fields’ first start as the Bears official QB1 after Bears coach Matt Nagy named him the season-long starter earlier this week.

The Bears defeated the Lions 24-14 in Week 4, marking Fields’ first career win as a starter.
