Looking Ahead to the Raiders’ 2022 Schedule

It’s been one week since Super Bowl LVI, and if you’re anything like us, you’re already ready for the 2022 season to start. With free agency just around the corner, let’s take a look at who the Las Vegas Raiders have on their schedule for the 2022 season.

Divisional Games

Like every year, the Raiders will play everyone within the AFC West twice, once for a home game and once for an away game. Including the immediate division, the Raiders will play nine AFC teams in 2022. These include all four teams in the AFC South. The Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts will come to Allegiant Stadium, while the Raiders will head to Jacksonville and Tennessee to take on the Jaguars and Titans.

The AFC South is a melting pot of teams. The Colts played hot in 2021 but fell just short of the playoffs. The Titans, on the other hand, ended the 2021 regular season at the AFC’s top seed before losing in the divisional round to the Cincinnati Bengals. Both the Jaguars and the Texans finished the season as two of the lowest-ranked teams in the league with 3-14 and 4-13 records respectively.

The Raiders will also host the New England Patriots in Sin City and travel to Pittsburgh for a matchup with the Steelers.

NFC Matchups

Outside of the AFC can bring some of the most difficult games. Next season, the Raiders will take on every team in 2021’s hottest division, the NFC West. The NFC West is home to three playoff teams from 2021, including the Super Bowl LVI Champion Los Angeles Rams, who the Raiders will take on in SoFi stadium next season. In addition to traveling to LA, the Raiders will also head to Seattle and New Orleans in 2022. 

At home, the Raiders will see the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers.

After ending 2021 with a 10-7 record, the Raiders are ready to make leaps in 2022 despite their tough schedule. With the help of new head coach Josh McDaniels and his impressive staff, it’s safe to be optimistic about what the Raiders can do with this schedule.
