The Raiders released their Thursday injury report ahead of their Week 2 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. RB Josh Jacobs has been held out of practice with toe and ankle injuries this week. LG Richie Incognito continues to miss time with the calf injury that held him out of Week 1’s Monday night thriller.
QB Marcus Mariota reaggravated a quad injury in the Monday night opener and is also not practicing. He is a candidate for short-term IR, although no official move has yet been made. LB Nick Kwiatkoski is in concussion protocol and hasn’t practiced this week.
Safety Roderic Teamer (ankle) is the only other active Raider who has missed both Week 2 practices so far.
DE Carl Nassib was upgraded to limited after missing Wednesday’s practice with pectoral and toe injuries.
Fellow DE Yannick Ngakoue was limited Wednesday and remained limited Thursday with a hamstring injury he sustained late in Monday night’s win.
“[The defensive effort] was definitely good,” head coach Jon Gruden said Tuesday during his press conference. “Progress is being made. Hopefully Yannick is not as seriously injured as he possibly can be. We don’t know the outcome yet.”
Back-to-back limited practice sessions is a good sign for Ngakoue. Pending his involvement is Friday’s practice, he has a chance to play Sunday.
LB Denzel Perryman was limited both Wednesday and Thursday with a hip injury. DT Darius Philon was limited Thursday after not being listed on the Raiders Week 2 injury report Wednesday.
RG Denzelle Good and DT Gerald McCoy were placed on IR and will both miss the remainder of the season.
