The Raiders are set to take on the Denver Broncos Sunday afternoon, and they’ll travel to Mile High Stadium a bit banged up on the defensive line. DT Johnathan Hankins is doubtful for Sunday’s game with a hip injury. DT Quinton Jefferson has been limited this week with back tightness, according to interim head coach Rich Bisaccia.
If the Raiders are without both players, expect a bigger workload from DTs Darius Philon and Solomon Thomas.
RB Josh Jacobs was “a little bit limited” during the week but doesn’t carry an injury designation on Friday’s injury report.
QB Marcus Mariota has returned to practice, and Bisaccia said, “he looks, really, 100% healthy.”
LBs Javin White and Nicholas Morrow continue to rehab and are progressing towards a return to game action.
Bisaccia was asked about RB Kenyan Drake’s role and limited impact on the field to this point of the season.
“We’re still early in the process,” Bisaccia said. “We’re still working through our identity. And now all of a sudden, maybe our identity, who know what it’s going to look like as we get going. We’re hoping to get a little bit more out of everyone.”
The Raiders will take the field for the first time in the Rich Bisaccia era Sunday in Denver. One thing that Bisaccia made clear was that each of the team’s three primary coaches will share responsibilities on gameday.
“We’re going to drive to work all week in three different cars and we’re going to go to the game on one bus. We’ll see what happens that way.”
