
Since their last fight at UFC Fight Night 143, Rachael Ostovich has patiently waited over 2 years to get revenge on Paige VanZant. Last time the pair met, it didn’t end well for Ostovich. VanZant submitted Ostovich in the 2nd round via armbar in an exciting fashion. So for Rachael Ostovich had extra motivation to comeback strong in their rematch.
This time around, Ostovich wouldn’t have to worry about grappling with PVZ. The two decided to rematch at BKFC 19 which is a bareknuckle fighting league that doesn’t allow for fighters to fight on the ground. So this time around, the fight was more evenly matched. For PVZ, his was her second bareknuckle fight, and for Ostovich, it was her debut. Both of them were coming off losses and were hungry to get a win, which resulted in an all out brawl.
At the end of 5 rounds, the judges of fight scored the bout 48-47, 48-47, 49-46 all in favor of Rachael Ostovich. Though Paige VanZant had moments where she looked competent enough to compete against Ostovich; She could not do enough to stop Ostovich. Following her loss PVZ went on Instagram and posted a picture with the quote

Paige VanZant has not fought 3 times in a year since 2015, So it’s probably safe to say she likely will not return until 2022. Even though this loss was tough, expect to see PVZ back in the ring within the next year.
