Miesha Tate comes back strong, dominating Marion Reneau at UFC Vegas 31

Five years have flown by since we last saw Miesha Tate fight. However, in her first fight back, you couldn’t tell.

Tate, 34, retired after back-to-back losses to Amanda Nunes and Raquel Pennington. She announced her intention to return somewhat abruptly earlier this year but looked very much like an active fighter on Saturday.

Miesha Tate outworked Marion Reneau in her fight back. Going into round 3, Tate was up two rounds and she continued to put the pressure on Reneau.

In round 3, Tate pushed Reneau onto the fence and then took her down. Reneau ended up belly-down on the canvas with her arm trapped behind Tate’s head. Miesha took the opportunity to unleash a barrage of ground and pound that forced the ref to stop things at 1:53 of the third round.
