With less than a month to go until the 2022-23 regular season gets underway, the Vegas Golden Knights took to Twitter to announce that they will be wearing new jerseys moving forward.

Entering what they are referring to as “The Golden Age” era, their gold sweater which has been used on special occasions since 2020 will be their official home jersey from here on out. Another fun marketing move for the fan base will involve gold statues of Bruce Cassidy, Jack Eichel, Reilly Smith, and Mark Stone, which will be given out to fans over their four preseason games.

“After a memorable five years as the 31st NHL franchise, we look forward to advancing to the latest era of Golden Knights hockey. While being Vegas Born will always be a significant part of our identity, the Golden Age represents a time of all-new adventures and opportunities as we and our city emerge in the post-pandemic world. As we continue to pursue the ultimate goal of bringing a Stanley Cup to Vegas and our passionate fanbase, we are consistently looking for ways to enhance our product, and we couldn’t be more excited for the sixth season of hockey in the desert.”

Kerry Bubolz, Vegas Golden Knights president

These jerseys have been a hot topic since being released back in 2020, as fans are quite divided on them. Some find them unique and fun given that they are the only gold uniform in all of professional sports, while many others find them visually unappealing. Nevertheless, their decision appears to have been made, meaning we will see them plenty moving forward.
